“I have wanted to draw this image ever since I first captured it on camera back in 2007. I was working as a nurse in a remote village in Tanzania. Her sense of safety and comfort in her grandmother’s embrace captivated me. A couple of months ago I decided it was time to draw her. This piece has even more significance to me during these challenging times.” – Meghan McCall
