“This piece is drawn from life, in mixed pastels, on Colorfix pastel paper. It’s my daughter Sophia, then a sophomore in High School, as she modeled engrossed in her cell phone. As I drew this, I kept thinking she would be gone soon, off to college, hence the title Still With Me. I later added the spirit in purple as me, watching over her and missing her already.” – Carol Peebles
