Girl in Green Flower Dress (穿绿花衣服的女孩) by Tuo Yu

The girl in the picture is a well-known female student from the Conservatory of Music. Her university is close to the Academy of Fine Arts and she often comes to the oil painting department to see us paint. Unlike other girls, this one is good at national musical instruments. There is always a hint of sadness in her eyes. I really want to capture this wonderful moment on the canvas, so I have created this work. The work uses a combination of classical painting and direct painting, trying to capture the elusive feeling of the girl in the manner of the characters, hiding the technique in the painting, and leaving the emotion on the picture.

《穿绿花衣服的女孩》，画面中的女孩是一位很熟识的音乐学院的女学生，因为和美院很近，经常来油画系看我们作画.不同于其他女孩，这位擅长民族乐器的女孩，眼神中总是会闪现一丝淡淡的忧伤，我很想把这种奇妙的瞬间留在画布上，于是便有了这幅作品。作品采用了古典画法和直接画法相结合的方式，在人物的神态上尽力捕捉女孩身上那捉摸不定的感觉，将技法藏在画中，把情感留在画面之上。
