The Girl from Togo

46 x 26 x 28 cms | 18 x 10 x 11 ins
Bronze

This life size portrait follows in the technical tradition of the ancient Greek bronze statuary.  Created with the lost wax method, the artist incorporated different materials to enhance the aesthetic and emotional impact.  The eyes are made of glass.  The eyelashes and lips are constructed in copper.  Recognized for its quality, this work was selected to participate in both the MEAM museum's Figurativas 2019 exhibition and the National Sculpture Society's 86th Annual Award Exhibition.
