Locations: Florence, Cineto Romano, Adriatic coast

 

This course is designed for people who would like to receive the foundation training in Visual Arts. In Florence and in two other Italian locations (see more information below). The summer period in which the course is held allows spending a lot of class hours practicing in outdoor painting and drawing along with many studio hours dedicated to working with the models, anatomy and various studio subjects such as constructive drawing, introduction to color science and many others. 

 

This course provides the students with highly individual and customized training in small student groups. Our professors are top-notch experts who will meet you on your level of preparation and your artistic background. The sequence of learning unfolds from drawing and painting basic figures, then still-life then casts and finally leading to portraiture.  This program enables a student to gain the necessary applied knowledge in order to begin building their portfolio.  

 

LOCATIONS: 

 

  1. Florence April 29 – August 2

  2. Adriatic coast (21 – 28 June) Optional*

  3. Cineto Romano 12 – 30 August

  4. Florence September 2 - 13

 

One week break: August 5 to August 9

 

For one week in June, the students have an option of having their plein-air in Florence or in Lido di Jeloso at the Adriatic coast. 

Students choosing to do the plein-air class at the seaside pay extra for the stay in a 4-star hotel and breakfast included.
