Canaletto and Venice

‘Canaletto and Venice’ celebrates the work of Antonio Canal, also known as Canaletto, the artist whose paintings have made the city on water immortal and the lively artistic period in which his art developed.
The exhibition is housed in the sumptuous rooms of the Doge's Palace and presents a fascinating overview of the 18th century in Venice focusing in particular on Canaletto. In addition to his works, masterpieces by some of the most prominent artists in the 18th century, including Luca Carlevarijs, Pietro Longhi, Giambattista Tiepolo and Francesco Guardi will also be on view.
The exhibition runs from February 23 to June 9, 2019 at the Doge’s Palace, 52 Piazza San Marco, Venice, 30124, Italy.
