New Addition to ARC Salon

We are pleased to announce that Happy Birthday, Tristesse by Dirk Dzimirsky has been added to the 12th International ARC Salon Exhibition.
"This artwork is not about a fun birthday party. I imagined what it would be like leading a dull life without perspective and how it would look when a person would celebrate that, just for the sake of celebration, not because you cherish it. This probably comes from an experience I had when I was a child. I attended a friend's birthday party but it was such a sad and depressing event because his mother did not care about him and all the children felt quite uncomfortable and were unhappy. Until then I never really had experienced something depressing like that, but the memory of this never went away and influenced my art later onwards" - Dirk Dzimirsky
The 12th International ARC Salon Exhibition will be on view at the Salmagundi Club, NYC from May 12th – June 1st with the public opening reception on Saturday, May 13th from 11am to 3pm. The works will then travel to the MEAM Museum, Barcelona where they will be on view from September 23rd – November 27th.
