Bay Area Classical Artist Atelier in Belmont California January 14-February 22, 2008 Follow the light and learn the style of human form in portrait likeness and structure program:“Special emphasis will be given to getting a likeness. For a good likeness, it is necessary that every part of the face is a portrait, that every form expresses the character of one unique individual. This begins with the special shape of the subject's head, and extends to the smallest structures. We will analyze the structures and actions of clothing and drapery. Whatever has the attribute of movement contains structure. Often neglected, the dynamics of clothing and drapery are very important for portrait and picture making."-Ted Seth Jacobs 2007 |
