Parmigianino: The Vision of Saint Jerome
Published on December 19, 2024
This exhibition explores the creation of Parmigianino’s 'The Madonna and Child with Saints', also known as ‘The Vision of Saint Jerome’. It returns to public display for the first time in 10 years following conservation.
Parmigianino made many drawings to work out his final composition. They range from velvety chalk studies to swirling pen and ink sketches and a variety of them will be reunited with the painting for the first time.
The exhibition runs from December 1, 2024 – March 9, 2025 at The National Gallery, Trafalgar Square, London, UK.
