Published on September 10, 2024
In cooperation with the Alte Nationalgalerie Berlin, the Wien Museum is showing an exhibition about the Secession movements in Munich, Vienna and Berlin at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
The establishment of secessions in many European countries in the late 19th century symbolized a break from the prevailing artistic institutions. The objective of secessionist artists was vibrancy and a diverse form of artistic expression.
The exhibition runs from May 23 – October 13, 2024 at the Wien Museum, 8 Karlsplatz, Vienna, 1040 Austria.
