With this piece I wanted to somehow express the ongoing damage and abuse passed down through generations of men. I see the Minotaur myth as a potent expression of this with its story of shunned pain and warped masculinity....I hoped to express this through the struggle to free himself of the skull, symbolic of this 'mask' of masculinity, the burden of which he is only sometimes aware.
