Yvonne Hemingway

Yvonne has been painting and exhibiting her watercolors for 30 years, enjoying the challenge and unpredictable results that watercolor is notorious for. Capturing a sense of light and atmosphere is the main focus, while sometimes pushing colors and perspective to help tell the story.
Her paintings have been juried into shows with the New England Watercolor Society, Bennington Center for the Arts, and exhibited at Gallery Twist in Lexington, MA. She is a Signature Member of the New England Watercolor Society, and also active in local art groups including Leominster Art Association, Princeton Arts Society, and Central Mass Plein Air Painters.
She has studied art at local colleges and museums and continues independent study through books and videos as well as workshops with some of her favorite artists including Charlotte Wharton, Marjory Glick and Paul George.
