Taehyub Lee

Taehyub Lee is Korean artist based in New York.

She is a figurative and portrait artist who paints in the style of the old masters and contemporary at the same time.  She works exclusively in oil and excels at capturing the expressions of her subjects.

She work with oil paints, putting layer upon layer, using only the paint knife for making form and defining light and dark at the first stage. she keeps fixing the drawing until finishing her work.

While she is painting, she try to communicate with my models to feel their emotion. If she understand the models, Her painting catches their face and figure better. It is the most wonderful thing in figurative painting.
