Stefani Tewes was born in Delta, CO and raised in the small town of Summerville just north of Charleston, SC. Tewes was born with a passion for art and throughout her youth pursued a myriad of creative goals, always knowing drawing and painting would be the main focus in her life. Showing talent at an early age Tewes received the O’neill Verner award in 1992 and her work was displayed at the state capital building in Columbia, SC. Over subsequent years Tewes studied at South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts, journeyed Aix en Provance, France to attend a study abroad program and graduated from Laguna College of Art and Design with an BFA in 2000.

Tewes’s work has been featured in numerous group exhibitions across the country. Venues including Froggtown Studio’s Los Angeles CA, Notion Fine Art Laguna Beach CA, Robert Lange Studios Charleston SC, Principle Gallery Alexandria, VA, Abend Gallery Denver, CO,  Principle Gallery Charleston SC and Lovett’s Gallery Tulsa OK. Her work is represented in corporate as well as private collections throughout the country. Tewes is also a member of The Portrait Society of America and Women Painting Women. She currently lives and paints in Laguna Beach, CA.
