I began painting after a career in tax accounting. I guess that's about as far from art as one could get. But a love of drawing and painting as a child stayed with me until time permitted, and from the moment I too my first painting class as a retiree, I was committed to learn everything I could. It still seems like magic that with a squeeze of paint, good brushes, and a receptive surface, you can tell a story and create something beautiful. The hope of pulling off that little miracle is what brings me to my studio almost every day.
