United States

I have been drawing and painting my whole life.  In 2005, I decided to get formal training.  I took classes at the local college and began to take workshops and weekly classes.

Starting in 2009, my work has been juried into exhibits at the National Arts Club, Salmagundi Club, Art Renewal Center, Pollak Gallery in Monmouth University, Bendheim Gallery in Greenwich, CT, Lyme Art Association, Lyme, CT, and the Monroe Township Library, Middlesex County, NJ.  I have won the Georgie Read Barton Memorial Award from the Hudson Valley Art Association, second place in the Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists and I was a finalist in the Art Renewal Center’s 12th Annual ARC Salon.  I am a member of the Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists, Monmouth Arts, National Portrait Society and an elected member of Allied Artists of America.

To me, the face is the most incredible thing in the universe.  As a portrait artist, I want to capture the person behind the face.  Whatever medium I use, oil, watercolor, pencil or silverpoint, the goal is always the same. I want the viewer to know the person in the painting.
