Mikel Olazabal was born in 1977, after finishing his studies in Basque University, Spain, he studied in the New York Academy of Art, the Art Student League and under Jacob Collins in the Water Street Studio in Brooklyn, NY.
He has received numerous awards in the ARC Salon Competitions over the years, and a Frist Prize in the 2020 (MEAM) European Museum of Modern Art, and Club Wagner International Lohengrin Painting Contests. He has paintings in the permanent collections of the European Museum of Modern Art (MEAM), Barcelona, and the Museo de Armas in Vitoria, Spain.
