Megan K. Euell is a classically trained representational painter from Southampton, NY (b. 1988), based in Brooklyn. Euell studied at a fine art atelier throughout high school (Long Island Academy of Fine Art, then in Riverhead, NY) before attending Savannah College of Art and Design. She graduated from SCAD Magna Cum Laude with a BFA in 2010. She then received a three-year intensive classical fine art training in Florence Italy, at the Florence Academy of Art under Daniel Graves. Euell completed the Advanced Painting certificate program in June 2015. She has received various awards and grants, including The Stacey Scholarship from The National Cowboy Museum, a grant from The Stobart Foundation, and a scholarship from The Portrait Society of America. She has been a guest presenter and demonstrator at various organizations including Savannah College of Art and Design, Long Island University, Atelier Flowerfield, The Westhampton Women’s Club, and other organizations in Long Island. Euell teaches privately in NYC and the Hamptons, as well as running yearly workshops in plein air painting. Euell is a proud member of The Salmagundi Club of NYC, where she has won numerous awards, and is also a member of The Portrait Society of America. Her work can be found in private collections throughout the US and Europe, as well as the permanent collections of Savannah College of Art and Design, The Stobart Foundation of Salem, MA and The Florence Academy of Art. Euell participates in group shows with Grenning Gallery, Vanessa Rothe Fine Art, and The Salmagundi Club. Euell works on commissions in her Brooklyn studio, and can be found plein air painting the rest of the time.
