Matthew Durante

Matthew Alfonso Durante is a figurative artist based in Los Angeles.  He studied at the Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art and later the New York Academy of Art, where he graduated with an M.F.A. in Painting in 2017.  He is a Strokes of Genius finalist and his work is in various private collections.  Durante has participated in group shows in New York, Los Angeles, Denver and Cincinnati.

Durante is after a sense of the inner vitality in human figures as a reflection of the dynamism of nature.
