Mary Garrish was born in Miami Beach, Florida in 1955. She served as the President of the American Impressionist Society from 2005-to 2007. Mary has devoted intense study in both her studio and in regular workshop participation with many of the great landscape artists of this era. Her art hangs in galleries and private collections around the United States. Mary has been selected to participate in numerous national juried shows and has had several one-woman shows at both galleries and museums.
Mary is currently serving as the President of Plein Air Painters of the South East. Her major interest is impressionist oil renditions of Plein air landscapes. She paints annually around the world while teaching workshops and performing demonstrations both en Plein air and in the studio.
In 2020 Mary began creating educational videos and has a new release, "6 Elements of Design," sold via the arts education and media group Streamline Publishing.
