Hello, I'm Manel Varela, a Spanish artist living in Catalonia, with studies at the Barcelona Academy of Art, focused on the sculpture.
I come from a humble family from a town near Barcelona, this life adding up with my father's illness gave me a lot of lessons about live, and also making me pass through a lot of emotional experiences. All this experiences helped me to see my way in my sculptures.
In my sculptures I seek to capture my life and feelings in the piece, in order to make the viewer feel what I want my work to transmit. In short, getting my work to transport you through an emotional experience.
