Livia Ayal

United States

I have a Diploma in piano teaching from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, and was a piano teacher for many years.

I have been been painting for 40 years, studying drawing at the North Shore Art Center in Massachusetts, and studying painting for many years with James Krauss in the Chicago area.  I earned many awards, including "Signature Master" member of the International Acrylic Society (2020).

My portrait of Zoltan Kodaly was published on the cover of "The American Music Teacher" magazine, and another of my paintings was published in "The Complete Guide to Painting in Acrylics" by Lorena Kloostervoer.  My work was accepted in multiple juried exhibitions and earned many awards - among them were first prize in the "International Society of Acrylic Painters" 5th Annual Signature members online exhibit (2012).  I was also a finalist in the "International Artist" Magazine (2010, April/May issue), among others.

I am especially drawn to painting the human face but also love the beauty of nature.
