Johannes Wessmark, who was born in Sweden in 1962, is mostly known for his hyperrealistic figurative paintings of women in water.
He mixes his passion for beauty with his ability to create paintings difficult to distinguish from photographs.
Johannes is an autodidact and has 15 years as an advertising illustrator and 15 years as a painter as his background.
He has also taught hyperrealistic painting in USA, Germany, and Sweden and is often asked to teach his skills.
During his career, he has been working with many well-known art galleries around the world like Arcadia Contemporary, Lotton Gallery, Tangent Contemporary and is currently working with Plus One Gallery in London, Gallery Ton in The Netherlands, DivArt Gallery in Mexico City, and more, and is a member of IGOR – The International Guild of Realism.
