Jim Graf

As an award-winning self-taught artist, Jim combines his passion for ships and interest in history, by painting detailed historical marine scenes. One collection is a series of paintings that showcase everyday shipping & waterfront activities that took place in major American cities during the early 1900’s, collectively providing a “step back in time” snapshot.

He is currently a Signature Member of the American Society of Marine Artist, an active member of the Art League of Long Island, National Art League, Art League of Hilton Head, and a juried member of the International Guild of Realism.  He is also a member of the National Maritime Historical Society, Steamship Historical Society of America, and an elected member of the American Bureau of Shipping.  Jim and his wife Sue currently reside on Long Island New York in the town of Franklin Square.
