After graduating from college with a degree in textile design, Jie pursued a career in textile designing, making beautiful designs on fabric. However, she was unsatisfied; constantly seeking to unleash her own interpretation about the beauty of daily life.
After immigrating to the US, she started self-studying oil painting, attempting to bring her ideas to life. As an artist, Jie loves gathering inspiration from the world around her --- trying to reveal the beauty of even the simplest items. Nature is like a colony of bacteria: complex, intricate, and delicate, and Jie hopes to be the magnifying glass that helps the eyes capture that beauty.
