Jennifer E Sims is a representational artist working in oils, watercolor, dry media and clay. She is Founder of Stuart Street Atelier in The Plains, Virginia, where she, Patricia Rice and Sue Braswell each have studios and teach classical methods of drawing and painting. Jennifer has studied under Michael Davis, Booth Malone, Kathleen Friedenberg, Max Ginsburg and Hollis Dunlap. Her principal instructor and greatest influence, however, has been Robert Liberace, from whom she has taken art history, advanced drawing and painting classes for many years. She is a member of Oil Painters of America, The International Guild of Realism The American Academy of Equine Art, and The Portrait Society of America. She has won many awards, including recognition as a finalist in the Portrait Society's 2021 Members Only Competition for her painting "Harry," and as a finalist in the 15th ARC Salon for her painting "Ava."
