JANE MANCO – FINE ART

Jane is a classically trained award winning American artist whose work is inspired by the old masters of the 19th century, and a background in traditional realism.

Jane earned a BFA in graphic design and illustration from the Parsons School of Design in New York, as well as a Masters degree in Art Education. Subsequent to completing her studies Jane launched a career in illustration and graphic design, and was an art educator teaching, drawing, painting and design.

Jane has since transitioned to painting professionally while completing an intensive drawing and painting program from the Florence Academy of Art (US).

Jane studied under the tutelage of Jordan Sokal, Amaya Gurpide, Cornelia Hernes, Stephen Bauman and Edmond Rochat. Jane currently shares her time in New York / New Jersey and Cape Cod painting in her studio in the Realist Tradition.

Jane’s work is well collected, and can be found in collections throughout the US and abroad. Jane’s work is represented by galleries in the Northeast US, and Salmagundi Club in New York.

Jane has received numerous Awards, the most recent include an Honorable Mention from the Art Renewal Center 15th International Salon Competition for Still Life, and an invitation to the ARC International Traveling Exhibition held at Sotheby’s NYC, and the MEAM – Barcelona, a Best in Show for Figurative & Portraiture, and the Richard Pionk Memorial Award for an Oil or Pastel both exhibited at the historic Salmagundi Club – NYC, as well as an Honorable Mention at the OPA Fall Showcase Competition for Portraiture.

Jane was also featured in editorials in the American Art Collector, the Annual Art issue of Cape Cod Life Magazine and Bold Brush News. Jane is an active member of the OPA, IGOR, SCNY and AWA.
