Jamie Cassaboon was born in New York in 1982 and has pursued art in many forms and media. Although he is primarily self-taught, he often cites many artistic influences, and the sage advice and kind suggestions of so many talented artists when discussing his own development as an artist. Currently his work is focused on still-life and wildlife art in graphite, although he does work regularly in oils as well.
He splits his time these days between his own fine art pursuits and work as a tattoo artist. Much of his free time is spent photographing birds in and around his home in Dutchess County, NY and along the Hudson River Valley, many of which become the subjects of his most recent art. The remainder of his time is spent with his wife and two pitbulls (and playing ice hockey).
Jamie is a signature member of the Society of Animal Artists (SAA).
