Irina Giallongo

Germany

I am an artist based in Frankfurt, Germany.
I'm married and mother of two children. My beginnings in drawing began at the age of six under the instuction of my mother,
who was an elementary school teacher, who also taught art.
Since 2010 I've been working as a freelance artist. From 2018-2021 I refined and trained my craft at the Academy of Fine Art Germany
and completed a degree in the classic realistic tradition.
Since then I have been working on my own art projects and teaching
private drawing lessons.
I love the combination of realism and impressionism and to unite the traditional
technique with a modern aesthetic.
Capturing the essence of a person through precise observation, combining character,
feeling and history and presenting them in expressive, poetic images is one of my
great aspirations. Painting has taught me that there is a wonderful depth in everything
that wants to be seen.
