Born 1963 Lincolnshire England.Started painting and drawing at the age of 10 .After leaving art school (Lincoln college of art and design)at only 17 years old (1981), I chose my own path. I began customizing motorbike tanks, illustrating books, magazines and designing greetings cards with a specialization in botanicals and wildlife. Moved to Canada Montreal in 1986 then to Denmark Copenhagen where i reside today.watercolourist painter up until 1999.Between working as an independent painting restorer over a 10 year period, and as a decorative painter (marbling, faux effects, Trompe LĂ’eil, gilding) plus teaching art, I decided to focus solely on oil painting.
I have exhibited in many galleries in Denmark and abroad,(mall galleries many times) the Karen Blixen museum in Denmark with a solo exhibition of bird studies from life, in pencil, gouache, and egg tempera. I am a four time finalist of Portrait Now, which is the Danish equivalent of BP portrait competition, and many other exhibitions and publications specializing in both realism and surrealism including International Artist and American art collector.
I`ve been working as an independent artist for more than 32 years and my passion is in oil painting with motifs from the natural world .Personal portraits of what i find beautiful and joyous to portray in paint despite our complicated and troubled world.
