United States

Born in 1944 in Northern Vermont and I have remained a lifelong resident of Vermont. Self taught in drawing through correspondence courses and attending many figure drawing sessions with models in the local area. I became a student of ARC Living Master Richard W. Whitney Phd.H for 5 years ( 1975 - 1980 ). Dr. Whitney taught me how to paint by working through portraiture with live models. Next was the selling of my works through a Gallery on the Main Street of Woodstock, Vermont from 1980 - 1996. Known mainly for my Still Life works, I have recently been working on paintings involving the figure. My Still Life paintings are done working from the arrangement of actual objects that I have set up and my figurative works are done from my imagination. I am a member of the Academic Artists Association and I have participated in numerous Regional and National Exhibitions. I have received several awards including a Grumbacher Gold Medallion in the 1991 National Exhibition in Manchester, Vermont. Also I was a Semifinalist in the Art Renewal Center's 15th International Realism Salon.
