Elizabeth Thayer was born and raised in Utah, U.S.A. She always loved to draw and paint; however, it wasn't until college that she developed a passion for creating art -- specifically for storytelling and figurative/portrait work. She finished a BFA in Illustration at Brigham Young University, then studied both Illustration at Syracuse University, New York, and Painting at UNC Greensboro, North Carolina.
Elizabeth has enjoyed teaching art both to children and university students. In addition to studio work, she paints commissioned portraiture. She currently lives in the United States near her favorite mountains, with her husband and six children.
