Diana Carolina Lopez

She was born in Mexico City in 1982. She graduated as a graphic designer in 2006. Always with a profound interest in art, she studied a diplomat in Drawing and Painting with artist that reside In Queretaro.
In 2016 Diana furthered his studies with academic courses of continuous education specialized in color theory, light and portrait in THE NEW YORK ACADEMY OF ART and THE ART STUDENTS LEAGUE in NY.
She has taken workshops with recognized international artists dedicated to realistic painting such as ELOY MORALES in BARCELONA, MAX GINSBURG, LEE PRICE, ALYSSA MONKS and DAVID KASSAN in NY.
Recently in 2021 Diana was selected in the prestigious international contest ModPortrait, and her painting is being exposed along with artists form all around the world in Arte Libre Gallery in Zaragoza and this summer in MEAM in Barcelona, Spain.
She is also part of the Milenio Arte Collection coordinated by the renowned mexican art critic Avelina Lesper.
Her work has been selected in mexican Biennials such as the Alfredo Zalce in 2016 and 2020, and the Ruben Herrera Self-portrait Biennial in 2021.
In 2017 and 2020 she was shortlisted in the renowned contest FIGURATIVAS by the MEAM in BARCELONA. Also, in 2017 she was selected and distinguished with Honorific Mention in DELUSIONAL: JONATHAN LEVINE`S SEARCH FOR THE NEXT GREAT ARTIST in NY organized by Jonathan LeVine Projects Gallery.
In 2015 she presented her first individual exhibition ESTACIONES DE VIRTUD, composed by ten oil portraits and one self-portrait.
Diana`s paintings have been exposed in cities such as Queretaro, Morelia, Puebla, Mexico City, London, NY, Madrid, Zaragoza and Barcelona, and in international Art Fairs such as ART BASEL MIAMI and LITTLETOPIA in LOS ANGELES.
She teaches oil painting classes and workshops in her study since 2015 and she is currently working on her most recent project about sisterhood.
