Daniel McGinty

Daniel McGinty is an American artist who paints in the realist tradition.  His life has been defined by a passion for creativity, which he has expressed through his love of painting for over 12 years.  He was fortunate to have grown up in a family where creative arts, theater, and music were highly valued, and his early interests in drawing and design were encouraged.  With his wife and two grown daughters, that tradition continues today.  Dan is a self-taught painter who most often paints landscapes, portraits, and figurative works, but whose canvases also include cityscapes, still life, and imagined realism.  He lives near Seattle, WA, in the great Pacific Northwest, where he is able to draw endless inspiration from the beauty of nature that abounds in the region.  He and his wife love to explore the beauty of the world around us, whether natural or created by people, and it is Dan’s hope that he is able to capture some of that beauty in his paintings.  Dan is a member of Oil Painters of America.
