Bonnie Grace Evans lives in Northeast Pennsylvania. Her artistic vision is formed through her interactions with the people that she comes in contact with each day ( especially young children), experiences that evoke strong emotion, and the simple beauty found in nature.

During her 38 year career in special education she always found time to pursue her love of art, studying under Marilyn Hoffman, Sue Hand, Terese Rogers, and attending various other art instruction opportunities over the years . After retiring from her dedicated career, Bonnie went on to enhance her skills, and joined the Ani Art Academy Waichulis in Bear Creek, Pennsylvania as an artist apprentice, to study representational art on a full time basis.

 

Bonnie has exhibited at :

 

  • Artists for the Arts (AFA) in Scranton, PA
  • Circle Center for the Arts in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
  • Capturing Realism at Misericordia University
  • The Fine Arts Fiesta, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania

 

Awards and recognition are the following:

 

  • First place award in painting at Wyoming Valley Art  League’s Spring Juried Exhibition-2018
  • 3rd Place in Drawing in the Wyoming Valley Art League Spring Juried Exhibition-2019
  • Honorable Mention at Ani Art Academie 5th Annual Drawing Competition
  • Finalist in the 14th International ARC Salon International Realism Competition

 

Bonnie is currently represented by the Lovetts Gallery in Tulsa, Oklahoma,
