BERRY FRITZ, OPA
Berry Fritz is a British-born Texas artist whose specialty is lushly rendered still lifes, animals, portraits and character studies in the classical tradition. She draws much inspiration from the Dutch and Flemish artists of the 17th century and contemporary American artists. Although largely self-taught, Fritz has taken courses at the City of London School of Art, the University of Texas-Pan American and workshops with various noted artists.
Berry's work has been accepted in juried shows nationwide. She was awarded signature membership in Oil Painters of America in 1999. In 2005 she was elected a Fellow of the American Artists' Professional League, headquartered in New York City. She has won Best in Show or First in Oils in many international, national and regional juried shows and has earned numerous secondary prizes, purchase and materials awards.
Berry Fritz lives in McAllen, Texas, where she is represented there by the Nuevo Santander Gallery. Her works are also available through The Hughes Gallery in Boca Grande Forida, and The Good Art Company in Fredericksberg, Texas. Her web site is www.BerryFritz.com.
