My artistic journey began from the moment I could hold a pencil, with fond memories of sitting around my Grandmothers dining table, drawing and creating from her ‘scraps for craft’ basket.
After completing a degree in Graphic Art at Swinburne, Melbourne, I worked as a graphic designer for 5 years. During this time I began exhibiting my own drawings and gained recognition as an artist for creating beautiful, realistic and dreamy portraits of women, often accompanied by elements of nature and items of a by-gone-era.
Over the next 10 years, I reached international status for my dreamy portraits with two Solo Exhibitions in Los Angeles and various international group exhibitions. After six years in the city, I relocated to my country roots in the picturesque Kiewa Valley, Australia.
The next part of my journey was motherhood. What was once my inspiration as a ‘single lady in the big city’, is now quite different as a mother living in the county. My artistic journey now constitutes reflection and experimentation with mediums and subject matter, redefining who I am as an artist.
