Barbara Bramham

United States

Barbara is a Northern California artist with a lifelong passion for realistic art. Working exclusively in oils, she paints a variety of subjects. In the past couple of years she has devoted most of her time to painting what inspires her most, wildlife. Barbara has always had a love for nature and the outdoors. One of her main goals is to capture the spirit of the individual animal in her work. She spends a lot of time hiking, visiting zoos, animal preserves, and museums for subjects and inspiration.

She studied Fine Art at College of Marin, and later graduated from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco with a degree in Illustration. She worked as an Illustrator, developing her technique, and creating a solid inventory of work.

Barbara has won several International awards including: Finalist and Meritorious Entries Award in the Richeson75 International Still Life and Floral Competition, Honorable Mention in Artists Magazine’s International 37th Annual Art Competition, Semi-Finalist in the Art Renewal Center’s 15th International ARC Salon Competition. Her work has appeared in Artists Magazine, Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine, Richeson 75 International Still Life and Floral Competition catalog, and Southwest Art Magazine. Two of her recent paintings are scheduled to appear in the August/September issue of Southwest Art Magazine’s article, Women in Art.
