Anwesha started her art journey after coming to the US in 2016 influenced by the art world she was introduced to in Chicago. It was here that she started thinking of art as a career and pursued studies by herself initially, through practice of drawing and painting. She added on online lessons and workshops along the way as she slowly became more aware of the numerous practices and techniques in the media she gravitated towards, oil painting. Her first introduction to painting from life was at a workshop in Ravenswood atelier, Chicago that was followed by a brief period of study at the school before she relocated to Tennessee. Since then she has continued painting from life, floral arrangements and other forms of still life under natural light conditions, bringing in her training from Chicago. Paintings of floral arrangements constitute a major volume of her work, flowers and nature being a source of constant delight for her since her childhood in the Himalayas reminiscing the bountiful wild flowers as well as the much loved homegrown ones. Anwesha's works have been presented in juried national and regional exhibitions in the US.
