Anna Toberman is an American emerging artist who creates portraits and figurative art in a realistic style from her studio in the Chicago area. Anna has achieved recognition through winning entries in the FASO BoldBrush competition, juried exhibitions of the National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society, Richeson75 International Small Works Exhibition, Portrait Society of America, and several online exhibitions of the PoetsArtists group/33 Contemporary Gallery. Her work has been published in two Strokes of Genius books (editions 9 and 13), Figurative Realism, Barrington Style and Substance magazine, Hashtag Art Magazine and Under the Bridge magazine. Anna’s commissioned portraits and other fine art works are in several private collections.

She graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with degrees in journalism and fine art, then became a graphic designer and art director. She continued her fine art education with classes at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Palette & Chisel Academy, and instruction from master artists.
