This work is in the Collection of the Art Renewal Center.

I am inspired by traditional Dutch Still Life painting and this piece is a sort of homage to the tradition. It's a casual arrangement of a breakfast table with eggs, a teapot and silver pieces set up on a lavishly covered table. The dish with the eggs is tipped, as was common in the genre, to show the contents better. This dish becomes the center of attention with everything else guiding your eye towards it. The smoothness and simplicity of the eggs contrast with the lush textures and patterns of the fabrics and silver. I love working with almost monochromatic colors, showing the richness
and variation you can get with just a few.
