Self-Portrait in the Winter by Phoebe-Louise Stewart Carter

This self portrait was done from life in my Florence studio in the wintertime, 2022. I am wearing a realiably warm fur hat, my usual tan jacket and a tartan scarf. I was toying with ideas for a self portrait at the time and realised when entering the studio in the ensemble, that I reminded myself of Anders Zorn in his black hat and fur coat. I went for it, sporadically working until March, when Tuscany began to become to hot to work in coat and hat.
