My trompe-l'oeil painting is only complete when there is a frame, but ARC sometimes does not post frames. This time, I painted a frame.
There are many trompe-l'oeil paintings in which the frame is painted within the painting, but there are not many trompe-l'oeil paintings in which the painting is painted on the frame.
The inside of the frame is an oil painting on copper plate, but the outside is painted all the way to the sides of the frame, making it larger in area than the copper plate.
