September - Afternoon Turns to Evening by John Cogan

September often brings rain and clouds to the Grand Canyon. But somehow the sun manages to peek though and provide the dramatic light that draws the artist to paint. This is a view of Brahma and Zoroaster Temples in the background and the sheer rampart of the west face of the Battleship in the near ground. That sheer face contains a cave used by nesting California Condors.
