Jasmine Becket-Griffith

United States

Jasmine Becket-Griffith is a traditional acrylic painter born in 1979.  For the past twenty-two years she has been working in the realms of imaginative realism and pop surrealism.  Her work can be found in collections throughout the world as well as her popular lines of merchandise under her "Strangeling" brand.  Jasmine's paintings traditionally feature female figurative works combining whimsical and spiritual themes, dark imagery, natural beauty and historical references - all centered around her trademark large liquid-eyed maidens.  The juxtaposition of classical painting technique with contemporary popular culture gives her work an appeal that transcends age and generation among her legions of fans.

Jasmine is also well-known for her collaborations with the Walt Disney Company, LucasFilm, the Bradford Exchange and other commercial venues.  Her primary galleries include the Corey Helford Gallery in Los Angeles, the Pop Gallery in Orlando, and Disney's WonderGround Galleries and Art of Disney Galleries.

Jasmine lives with her three cats and her husband/assistant Matt - spending their time between her studios in Celebration, Florida, London, England and Kansas City.  When not painting, she enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, reading, and collecting artwork and natural curiosities.
