Amsterdam based painter Yvonne Melchers' focus is on realistic/figurative oil paintings. Her main series are the Dutch North Sea coast, Italian Scenes,  Portraits of modern Italian men and boys in historical costumes (Siena Palio Portraits) and Rooms with a View. Portraits or other subjects by commission. Known for her fresh colors with the very limited palette of Claude Monet. Some exhibitions in Italy but mostly in The Netherlands in galleries, at art fairs and in the Museum Møhlmann several times a year. Recently and currently in the US and in Spain. Some works available on Artsy through the Zhou B Art Center in Chicago/US. and Abend Gallery in Denver/US. Selected at Summer Expo 2012 The Hague Gemeente (Municipal) Museum. Preselected at BP Portrait Award 2015 and 2018, Dutch Portrait Award 2017 and  Figurativas Barcelona 2017.  Published in magazines and numerous books on realistic/figurative work and in many theme issues of PoetsArtists Magazine in 2017, 2018 and 2019.  Added to Grandes Autores of website ArteLibre in 2018. Invited with 165 international artists to participate in Exhibition 20x20 of Galería ArteLibre which will be held in Zaragoza and at the Museum MEAM in Barcelona in 2019. Work in numerous private collections around the world, in collection Academic Medical Center Amsterdam and in Museum Møhlmann Appingedam/The Netherlands.
