Louise Feneley has a Bachelor of Fine Art - Painting from the South Australian School of Art (1970)and a Bachelor of Visual Art (Honours) from Adelaide Central School of Art (2002). She has undertaken Master-classes in Advanced Drawing, and also Painting in New York City, Florence, Madrid and Barcelona.
Louise has been a finalist in the Sulman Prize, Blake Prize, Doug Moran National Portrait Prize, the Waterhouse Natural History Art Prize, the Portia Geach Portrait Award, EMSLA and the Fleurieu Prize, amongst others, five times receiving Peoples' Choice Awards. She is included in the Parliament House Collection, Canberra and the Imago Mundi Collection, Italy. Other awards include a Commomwealth Scholarship and Arts South Australia Grants.
She has taught painting and drawing for many years and currently teaches in the Atelier Program at Adelaide Central School of Art.
Louise is represented by Hill Smith Gallery in Adelaide, South Australia. Her work is held in collections in Australia, Japan, Canada, Italy, Malaysia and USA.
