This painting captures that time between night and day, and dreams and reality. The figure is sleeping, but I wanted to capture the feeling of a fleeting moment, that she could wake and move at any moment. The tumbling fabrics act as a metaphor for her inner thoughts and feelings. This painting represents to me, that moment of calm and much needed escape from our otherwise busy and hectic lives.
