The Boys by Krista Lee Johnson

While driving through California in the drizzling rain we came apon these cows. I had to stop to greet them and and they came right over to say 'hello.' They stood out against the foggy background with rain dripping from their ears and whiskers. I realized what a great painting they would make. I also loved the yellow wildflowers in the foreground, they helped to anchor the cows. As I was working on the painting, when I walked into the studio, I would alway say 'hi boys!' When the painting was finished I realized that I had already titled the painting.
